Cargill Expands Non-GMO Omega-3 Portfolio

Food manufacturers looking to provide long-chain omega-3s (EPA and DHA) in their products can now do so with an oil blend made with high oleic sunflower oil produced from identify-preserved, non-GMO, high-oleic sunflower seeds, fish oil and proprietary antioxidants.

IngreVita High Oleic Sunflower and EPA/DHA Omega-3 Oil (IngreVita HO Sun) is the latest and second IngreVita product from Cargill. The original IngreVita, containing canola oil, was launched in 2014. The ingredient is easy to use, is stored at ambient temperature, offers good shelf stability and does not introduce off-flavors, according to the company.
